Spring Top

Since the pattern I used was altered a bit I decided to enter this into the :

I love her website, if you are into making clothes or altering them, recycling...whatever floats your boat, check out her website.  Oh and she is turning this into a contest so make sure you enter!!

You wouldn't believe this top cost me $1.50 to make...or it could have been less. The fabric was on sale for $1.00/yd
The pattern I used is Simplicity 2892. I just altered the straps and added ruffles. I like this alot because you can wear it more casual like above

My inspiration came from this shirt that I found at Nordstrom:
However this shirt was over $200!! does it get you a raise at work? Or promise a life full of happiness? I don't know why it would be so much?

Anywho, on the nordstrom top it  has tiny little pom poms hanging off the ruffle, I thought that would be so cute but I couldn't find mini pom poms at the local quilt shops so I couldn't add that detail. But I like how cute it looks with the belt!

Then you can just add a cardigan or a shrug to wear it to work. I love that I can sew!!
People without a sewing machine have no idea what they are missing out on! LOL
Thanks for looking!
I'm linking up to these parties:
make it wear it
