Simply Pure

I have had this fabric for a while and I needed to make a baby blanket for my friend
I wanted the quilt to have more piecing but with christmas and everything I have just ran out of time so I just sewed strips together.

And my friend is naming her boy Bronco so I'm sure she will
love the applique name at the bottom. I can't wait to get this quilted, it's going to be great!

ruffles

Me and my daughter spent an afternoon making headbands like this.
She gave them as a gift to her friends.

Then I made a really BIG one for a pillow....

This is the "in process" pic. You just take strips and gather them with you machine then take the hot glue gun to place it together working from the outside in.
It's the perfect addition to my daughters bedroom. Oh and more pix of that will follow....

Christmas tie

So even though I have not posted much lately does not mean I have not been busy.  I have been making skirts, pillows, head bands...I'll have to show some more later but for now....

I wanted to make something for my pup to wear on Christmas Day
He doesn't like wearing things so I just made a colar and tie.
Don't you think he looks so cute? haha

It was so easy! If you know how to make a prairie point then you can do this, it seriously took me 5 minutes for the tie part. Then I just gathered it at the top then wrapped the fabric around the top.

I had a mccalls pattern for the colar.  Then I just attached the tiny button clasps for easy on and off.  Sorry I don't have a better explanation, I'm horrible at trying to explain things.
Thanks for looking!

Done! Complete! Finished!

Finally! I finished this quilt. The binding is what took me forever. (no reason why)
And for the back I just did a plain navy blue fabric with some piecing in the middle.

And here it is all folded and ready to be wrapped. It's going to be a christmas gift.
Now I have all my christmas shopping done...aside from my husband.
Thanks for looking! I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season And you have plenty of quilts to keep you warm!

simplicity skirt...

Lately I have been sewing so many skirts.
This is a great pattern that I would like to share with you...
You are able to whip up a skirt in no time.
It is so simple, I just attached one of those elastic waistbands. My daughter can only wear solid navy blue, green or khaki to school. JoAnns only had a little over half a yard of this green color so I bought it...there just wasn't enought to put the pockets on.

Don't mind the wrinkles...my daughter has a hard time hanging up her clothes.
