Show n Tell Friday!

I finally have something to show today! I had this top done for quite some time, i just didn't want to show it until it was completely done.On Park City Girls blog she was asking everyone what there favorite part of quilting was. Mine definitely is the binding! It's the finishing touch, and my mother n law gave me these fancy (expensive) pins and they are wonderful to use, I will never go back to the cheepies again.
And I love it when the corners turn out perfect!
Here is a close up of the stippling, this is my first quilt that I quilted on a long arm machine!
My mother n' law just bought a long arm quilting frame and I get to use it. We have been learning together.
The back is pretty plain jane...

And here is the overall pattern, It's a disappearing nine patch...the easiest layout ever!

Thanks for looking. And don't miss out on the other projects....there is much more to see on Amylouwho's blog!

  9. Such a pretty quilt! Isn't it great when a quilt comes together nicely right down to the mitred binding corners. Nice job and I like the simple back!

  12. What a great quilt. I totally agree about the pins. My cheapies have gotten the flick. How lucky are you having a long arm so close and convenient. Quilting looks pretty good for your first time. I am pretty hopless at the free motion quilting. Need more time to practice. It must be great having all that open space to quilt on a long arm compared to a domestic machine. Keep going.
